Mercedes 190 Evolution

Started as a car to compete with the BMW M3 Sport Evolution. The Mercedes 190 Evolution was created for the purpose of circuit racing. Mercedes decided to introduce their old 2.5 liter engine into this model even though the previous 190e and 190d also ran a similar one. This engine first lacked performance until Mercedes decided to add a stock turbo charged motor in 1990. By this point in time the 190 Evolution was only known in Europe. And in 1991 Mercedes imported only 5000 of them. These models were also made for a short time in America  for the American demographic, but featured different components and an unreliable engine. The 190 Evolution is one of my favorite cars it was also featured on the background of this blog. These cars are sold for around 5,000-10,000 euros and double the price in the United States. So if you think this car is for you I would suggest making the flight over to Germany.www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXUM1o8LCFU

Toyota Supra

Started in 1979 as the Celica Supra. This car powered by a 6-liter inline- 6 engine was one of the first toyota drift cars on the market. Started out of pure curiosity on toyotas part this car lasted 20 years before being halted in 1999. In 1986 the Supra was finally taken out of the celica category. In 1993 the last generation of the Supra was made making it the 4th Generation of Supra on the market. This car featured a 320 horsepower engine and performance was finally the name of the game for the Supra. The new 4the Gen. Supras are starting at $28,000- $32,000 stock from a dealer. To be honest I think its worth it. http://www.toyota.com/vehicles/supra/supra.html

Mazda RX-8

The Mazda rx-8 was first started in 2003. The main goal for mazda when making this car was for it to be a sports car, but be able to calm down and drive on the open road and on the city streets with no trouble at all. This car was made to be extremley fun to drive and be affordable as well. With a 1.3 rotary motor not seen since the 90's. Mazda unveiled their new car in 2003 with a whopping 211 horsepower. This car would be the closest I could get to a "drift car" at my age of 17 because they only start at around $9,000 and go up from there.www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRiPSlx8PxA

Nissan 350z

First started in 2003 the nissan 350z was one of the first asian cars that could compete in power to the old american muscle cars. This is one of the most popular drift cars around the world due to sheer power and looks. The body style alone could make you dream over buying one. Nissan manufactured this car for only 7 years before discountinuing them in 2009.  These cars start at around $36,870 - $42,570 and go up from there. So if you want one, you better have a nice amount of cash coming in.http://www.edmunds.com/nissan/350z/

My favorite drift car dawg

My favorite car for really anything (driving, drifting, to look at) would have to be the Mazda RX-7. The best year by far would have to be an 85' savanna. A little history lesson- the mazda RX-7's were first created to compete with porsche. Seeing as how the perfect RX-7 is so old it doesnt come cheap these cars in mint condition start at around 20,000 and go up. If only i had more money .http://www.mazda.com/mazdaspirit/greatcar/p15.html
